I have been making jewelry since 2008. When I needed something to occupy my hands while my mother and I were dealing with the after effects of her cancer treatment, I found a booklet at the local fabric shop that contained information and examples of wire crochet jewelry. I had been crocheting with yarn from a very early age, so found changing mediums from fiber to wire not difficult. After experimenting with the many design options using different types of wire and sizes of beads, I discovered a technique that lent itself to the necklaces you see here today. I settled on this fine non-tarnish silver wire and Swarovski pearls and crystal. The lacey open appearance comes from how the crochet stitch is placed within the piece.
